One of my paintings of the Heathen gods and goddesses.
This is Jord the Norse goddess of the Earth and the mother of Thor who appears below her.
She holds a witch staff and an a apple, symbols of female power and life after death. The corn and poppies represent the harvest. The world serpent circles her giving a further clue to her identity.
Rowan is associated with her Saami counterpart so I have borrowed it. The swastika is a symbol of Thor.

I absolutely love your artwork about the gods and goddesses from the North, I collect them in my PC! I also love that you are not afraid of painting the swastika, holy symbol of ancient times.
